XWIZEX - TOP ALBUMS/LIVE 2014

The LAST.FM top from last year was pretty honest, because you know, if I don't listen to the record, why put it on a fucking top. Anyway, here it is :

1 - HE IS LEGEND - Heavy Fruit
Christian-core chaotic turned dirty-south-stoner-metalcore now turns satanist-from-the-woods-doing-their-own-hybrid-metal-shit-that-regular-metal/hardcore-people-don't-seem-to-understand. GENIUSES !

2 - EMMURE - Eternal Enemies
21st century hopcore

3 - WEEZER - Everything Will Be Alright In The End
If you forgot who were the kings of Power-Pop ...

4 - FOREVER CAME CALLING - What Matters Most
Best pop-punk melodies of the year

5 - THE COPYRIGHTS - Report
Basic orgcore band turns punk-rock-melody-bulldozer after signing on Fat Wreck Chords

6 - MAC MILLER - Faces
Jazzy hip hop something something, so good that I didn't even noticed it was a mixtape

7 - MASKED INTRUDER - M.I.
Easy listening punk-pop at his best.

8 - FRONT PORCH STEP - Aware
Friendzone-creep-acoustic-core, this dude's carreer went so fast that's it's already over

9 - HOW TO DRESS WELL - What Is This Heart ?
His Primavera 2013 set blew my mind, pure Pitchfork hipster r'n'b masterpiece

10 - KIMBRA - The Golden Echo
A pop record with thousand of ideas in it, too smart for radio I guess

11 - TRANSIT - Joyride
Boston emo beatdown keeping it real

12 - CLOSURE IN MOSCOW - Pink Lemonade
Math shamanist post-hardcore from Australia (read with Bill Hader's "Stefon" voice now) "this record got everything in it"

TOP LIVE 2014
Probably in that order yep :

- LIMP BIZKIT @ Maubeuge
- THE CAULFIELD CULT @ Lille
- NORMA JEAN @ Groezrock
- HE IS LEGEND @Antwerp
